The last time Georges St. Pierre headlined a UFC card outside of Canada was 2010, when he easily defeated Dan Hardy by unanimous decision in New Jersey. GSP's last Vegas main event appearance was 2009, when he forced a 4th round "throw in the towel" moment vs. B.J. Penn. He's back in Sin City this November, and he'll face the one-punch KO power of Johny Hendricks.
Unlike a couple of recent GSP shows where it was clear that he was the only selling point (UFC 124 and 154), this show is stacked to the brim and we don't even have a full lineup yet. Rashad Evans battles Chael Sonnen in the co-main event, while Rory MacDonald takes on Robbie Lawler. Frequently concussed heavyweights Frank Mir and Alistair Overeem square off in a must-win bout, and Josh Koscheck looks to get his first win in over a year as he faces Tyron Woodley.
The bout order is not complete, but here's what the fight lineup looks like for November 16th at the MGM Grand:
Georges St. Pierre vs. Johny Hendricks
Rashad Evans vs. Chael Sonnen
Frank Mir vs. Alistair Overeem
Rory MacDonald vs. Robbie Lawler
Josh Koscheck vs. Tyron Woodley
Donald Cerrone vs. Evan Dunham
Brian Ebersole vs. Rick Story
Erik Perez vs. Edwin Figueroa
Ed Herman vs. Rafael Natal
Tim Elliott vs. Ali Bagautinov
