If you're a kickboxing fan, chances are good you have seen the work of SuperKombat. This European company has consistently put on highly entertaining shows featuring some of the best in the world, particularly in the Heavyweight division. Now, they have announced an interesting new partnership.

This fall, SuperKombat will be a part of the Festival dell-Oriente in Tuscany, Italy. Running from October 31 - November 2, the festival is a celebration of traditional martial arts, with SuperKombat taking part as a representation of kickboxing. SuperKombat will close the festival with a professional card highlighting new talent in their ongoing SuperKombat New Heroes series. There will also be the opportunity for some of the amateurs taking part in the festival to ultimately move on to professional careers in SuperKombat.

Overall, it's another way the company is keeping a sharp eye on the future of kickboxing, highlighting new stars and looking to new regions to keep the sport alive. After a rough few years for kickboxing, that kind of dedication to the sport's future should make any stand-up fan happy.

SuperKombat is also in action this weekend with the latest edition of SuperKombat World Grand Prix. Coming live from Romania this Saturday September 28, the show features a 4 man tournament with the winner moving on to the 2013 SuperKombat Grand Prix later this year. Already announced for the show are Benjamin Adegbuyi and Andrei Stoica among others. Look for more on this show, including full fight card and how to watch later this week.
