Greetings, and welcome to day 3 of the FILA World Championships of Wrestling.
Today features women's freestyle competition at 55kg, 59kg, and 63kg. It should be a good day for American wrestling.
Helen Maroulis represents the U.S. at 55kg. She has drawn a nasty tough North Korean world silver medalist to start the day, but I think that Maroulis can handle her.
At 59kg, the U.S. will feature Ali Regan who must get by a tough Russian to start the day.
Finally at 63kg the U.S. pulls out the big gins with world champ Elena Pirozhkova. She's a heat seeking missile, and her target is the top of the medal stand.
Look for at least two medals for the red, white and blue today, perhaps even three. Also keep an eye on the Japanese wrestler at 55kg, she is absurdly good.
