Two years ago Matt Brown was submitted by Seth Baczynski, giving him 4 losses in 5 fights. Fast forward to 2013, and Brown is ranked in the UFC's top 10 and taking on Carlos Condit at UFC on Fox 9. The UFC's official Twitter account passed along the exciting news this afternoon:
Sacramento card is stacking up!! @CarlosCondit vs @IamTheImmortal just added to December 14th #UFConFOX! http://t.co/e77wG1voV5

Brown (18-11), who is to be facially confused with Luke Thomas at all times, has won his last 6 bouts, finishing everyone along the way bar Stephen Thompson, who himself was likely seconds away from a TKO loss in the final round. The 32-year-old absolutely starched Mike Pyle in 29 seconds at UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen, and his other 2013 fight was a FOTN war with Jordan Mein.
Condit (29-7) has won three straight FOTN awards, and after losing the first two (to Georges St. Pierre and Johny Hendricks), the former WEC champion stopped Martin Kampmann in the 4th round on August 28th in Indianapolis. The 29-year-old avenged his earlier loss to Kampmann back in 2009.
It is a shame that this fight is only 3 rounds, but it should be fantastic nonetheless. Accompanying Condit/Brown on this tremendous Fox event are Anthony Pettis/Josh Thomson, Urijah Faber/Michael McDonald, Chad Mendes/Nik Lentz, Joe Lauzon/Mac Danzig, and Scott Jorgensen/Ian McCall.
