Welterweight Jon Fitch has been eager to get back into the cage since his first-ever submission loss to Josh Burkman at WSOF 5 in June. The 35-year-old is on a two-fight losing streak for the first time in his career and is just 1-3-1 in his last five bouts.
Now he's got something to look forward to. MMA Fighting is reporting that Fitch and WSOF newcomer Marcelo Alfaya have both verbally agreed to meet at WSOF 6 on October 26 in Coral Gables, Florida.
Alfaya (15-6, 1 NC) trains jointly with American Top Team and Team Nogueira and is currently on a three fight winning streak. Bellator fans may recall Alfaya getting KO'd by Jake Ellenberger in 42 seconds in 2009.
