More Mayweather vs. Canelo Coverage

Mayweather vs. Canelo will be fought at a catch weight of 152 pounds. That's a middle ground between Canelo's preferred weight of 154 and Mayweather's 147. The issue of weight has been a source of some debate on the Showtime All Access shows. From the Mayweather camp, here's Leonard Ellerbe on the weight:

His management put out something on Boxing Scene that they will be willing to fight at a catchweight. Now, because his management is inept, we take advantage of those kind of things. Why would we go in a different direction? They suggested it, why would we say "no" and do something different?... It wasn't that Floyd Mayweather asked for a catchweight because absolutely that did not happen, so I want to be clear on that. Floyd would have fought him regardless.

For their part, the Canelo camp stated back in May that weight was an issue in negotiations, with Canelo's trainer saying Mayweather wanted the fight at 147.

Regardless, we are here and thankfully these issues did not derail this mega-fight. Now we get to see how the catch weight impacts each man.
