Ian McCall desperately needed to find a W in his fourth UFC fight, and it finally came. The former world's # 1 flyweight defeated Iliarde Santos by unanimous decision in a fast fight. When McCall stuck to his strengths, he looks leagues ahead of Santos on the feet. But when Santos suckered him into brawling, the fight was a lot more even. Nonetheless, the judges gave it to Uncle Creepy with 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28 scores.

McCall got off to a good start in the first round, mixing in a bunch of leg kicks with some boxing combinations. His left hook in particular was finding its mark frequently. Santos was able to come back with a nice counter right though. McCall stuffed a takedown and ended up on top. McCall landed some quality GnP before Santos got up. They threw down for the rest of the stanza with both men landing some shots.

McCall went back to the kicks early in round two. The pace was high but not a lot was really going on for the first two minutes. Santos couldn't match McCall's speed and he wasn't able to land much. Santos asked McCall to brawl and it led to Santos landing some strikes. Santos hit a trip takedown with a minute to go but McCall was up quickly.

Santos opened the final round with a nice step-in punch. After a combo, McCall finally looked for the takedown that his corner was asking for. He couldn't get him all the way to the mat though. After some striking, McCall fought off a Santos takedown attempt. Santos continued to miss a lot while McCall pick and chose his spots well down the stretch. He landed more strikes, but Santos landed the harder ones overall.
