Two long-time UFC light heavyweights are set to clash in Brazil on October 9th. Thiago Silva and Matt Hamill will square off on the yet-unannounced card, which is likely to be called UFC Fight Night 29. The news was reported by Knockout Radio recently.

Silva (15-3, 2 NC) picked up his first official win in almost four years when he knocked out Rafael Cavalcante in the first round of their UFC on Fuel 10 bout in June. He had two wins erased due to issues he was subsequently suspended for afterward.

Hamill (10-4) had retired after a first-round loss to Alexander Gustafsson in 2011, but decided to end his retirement and return to the octagon at UFC 152 last year, where he defeated Roger Hollett by unanimous decision.

It's unclear if the fight will be on the main card or not, as only one other bout (Erick Silva vs. Dong Hyun Kim) has been announced for the event thus far.
