UFC On Fuel 9: Conor McGregor ready to say "f**k off" to welfare after picking up $60K KO bonus

At the Fuel 9 post fight presser, Conor revealed that he'd been on welfare up to the week before his fight against Brimage. Now, after securing the KOTN bonus, he's ready to tell them to GTFO.

Irish Featherweight Conor McGregor made his UFC debut today at UFC On Fuel TV 9 against TUF 14 vet Marcus Brimage. McGregor impressed fans and UFC brass alike with a first round TKO victory on the event's Facebook prelims. In fact, he did enough to win the $60K Knockout of the Night bonus awarded by Dana White, who had nothing but good things to say about the young prospect.

While he's riding high now, it wasn't an easy road for Conor leading up to his first appearance in the Octagon. Check out what he had to say about his debut at the post-fight press conference:

I felt the same, even walking in. You know how people say "UFC jitters" and all that. I didn't feel it. It just felt like another contest to me. Competition is competition, it doesn't matter if it's in a local club or here. It's all the same.

To be honest, I don't know what's going on here. I'm just happy I won $60K. I'm just thinking on what I'm going to spend it on. I'll buy myself a car any way. A nice car, may be some suits or something. Custom made suits, I don't know.

Just last week I was collecting the social welfare, you know what I mean? I was in saying to them like, "I don't know what going to happen. I'm signed to the UFC. I don't know what....blah, blah, blah." But now I supposed I'm gonna have to tell them to f**k off!

Dana promised fans that McGregor would be returning to the cage in just a few months at August's UFC On Fox Sports 1 1 event in Boston. If you're wondering who Conor wants to fight next, he doesn't seem to care:

No, whatever. I just want to be kept busy. You know, competition keeps me focused. Any time I don't have competition ahead of me I just seem to drift. So, I just want to be kept busy.
