WSOF 2 medical suspensions: Arlovski out indefinitely with suspected broken jaw

The medical suspensions are in from WSOF 2 and many fighters will be heading to the doctor to clear indefinite suspensions, including both headlining fighters.

On Saturday night, the World Series of Fighting returned to action with their second event. The main event featured a clash of Heavyweights where Anthony Johnson and Andrei Arlovski brawled like only the big men can. Johnson came close to finishing the fight in the first after dropping the former UFC HW champ twice, but Arlovski was saved by the round-ending bell. When it was all over, Johnson took the unanimous decision.

Neither man came out out of the match unscathed as both were suspended indefinitely pending clearance from medical specialists. The New Jersey State Athletic Commission released the full list of medical suspensions shortly after the event concluded:

Anthony Johnson suspended indefinite pending orthopaedic clearance of right hand
Andrei Arlovski suspended indefinite pending oral surgeon clearance of jaw

Tyson Nam suspended 30 days for KO
Marlon Moraes suspended indefinite pending x-rays of right hand and right foot

Paulo Filho suspended indefinite pending CT head scan; 30 days for recovery

Josh Burkman suspended indefinite pending x-ray of right wrist/hand
Aaron Simpson suspended indefinite pending CT head scan and facial bones; 60 days for KO

Gesias Cavalcante suspended 60 days for laceration
Justin Gaethje suspended indefinite pending x-ray of right thumb

Alexandre Pimentel suspended indefinite pending CT head scan; 60 days for KO

Cameron Dollar suspended 30 days for KO

Igor Gracie suspended indefinite pending orthopaedic clearance of right clavicle

Tom Marcellino suspended indefinite pending CT head scan, neurology clearance, and orthopaedic clearance of right foot
