UFC 158 Dana White announces Ronda Rousey and another woman will coach The Ultimate Fighter

UFC president Dana White made a special announcement at the end of the UFC 158 preliminary fight card on FX tonight before the pay-per-view featuring Georges St. Pierre vs. Nick Diaz, revealing that Ronda Rousey will coach the next season of The Ultimate Fighter, the first season that will feature both male and female competitors.

UFC women's Bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey will coach the next season of The Ultimate Fighter opposite the winner of the April 13 bout between Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano. The season will feature both male and female bantamweights competing to be named "The Ultimate Fighter."

UFC president Dana White teased the big announcement via twitter:

White made his announcement before the UFC 158 pay-per-view which features a trio of big Welterweight bouts: Jake Ellenberger vs. Nate Marquardt, Johny Hendricks vs. Carlos Condit and a title fight between champ Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz.

The UFC 158 undercard on FX featured a three round battle between Patrick Cote and Bobby Voelker, quick TKO wins by Darren Elkins over Antonio Carvalho, Jordan Mein over Dan Miller, T.J. Dillashaw over Issei Tamura and a decision win by John Makdessi over Daron Cruickshank.
