Two TUF 16 semifinalists with a lot to prove are set to battle each other on the preliminary card of UFC 157 tonight in Anaheim, CA, as Neil Magny (7-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) fights Jon Manley (7-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) in a potential "loser gets cut" matchup.
With Dana White's statement that 100+ fighters in line for roster cuts, neither man has room for error. The Facebook broadcast kicks off at 6:30 PM ET/3:30 PM PT, and then the remainder of the prelims will air on FX at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT.

How did these two get here?
Magny spent most of his time fighting in regional promotions in the central and midwestern areas of the US, but in 2012 he was added to the next crop of TUFers for season 16 of the long-running reality competition. During his run on the show he defeated Strikeforce veteran Bristol Marunde, but ultimately fell short in the semifinals, losing to Mike Ricci by KO. Most of the TUF cast didn't get a 2nd chance to impress, and Magny is one of the few to get a UFC contract.
Manley started his career in Massachusetts, winning his first five professional fights. After losing for the first time in 2009, he didn't fight at all in 2010 and then resumed action with two more wins in 2011. Manley then found his way to TUF 16, where he joined Roy Nelson's team en route to a semifinal run. He lost to eventual winner Colton Smith but was not given a spot on the finale card. Technically speaking, he didn't have a pro fight in 2012 (TUF fights are exhibitions), so here's his one chance to impress the UFC bosses.
Why should you care?
TUF 16 was so awful that I honestly cannot think of a good reason for you to care. Also, how many welterweights can you think of who have such a long reach like Magny?
