UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche fight card

A look at next week's UFC event in Anaheim, CA, where Ronda Rousey will defend her bantamweight title against Liz Carmouche in the first ever women's UFC fight.

Greg Bartram-US PRESSWIRE

Women's MMA will reach a massive milestone next week at UFC 157, as Ronda Rousey defends her Strikeforce-turned-UFC bantamweight title against Liz Carmouche in the main event of the evening. The co-main event sees Dan Henderson against Lyoto Machida in a key light-heavyweight showdown.

The removal of Chad Mendes/Manny Gamburyan means that Court McGee and Josh Neer get promoted to main card status. That's ... weird. Both of those guys have lost two in a row and the loser will probably get cut, so I guess there's some sort of entertainment value coming out of this that the UFC is expecting. Josh Koscheck returns to the Octagon to fight Robbie Lawler, while Urijah Faber fights Ivan Menjivar to round out the PPV main card.

On the preliminary card, Brendan Schaub and Lavar Johnson headline the FX broadcast, and the other interesting matchup comes from the lightweight division, as Sam Stout fights Strikeforce's Caros Fodor.

Here's how the card looks from top to bottom:
