The UFC has added a pair of fights to UFC 168, with one featuring a TUF finalist and the other showcasing a prospect in his UFC debut. Bobby Voelker will meet William Macario in the welterweight division, while Guto Inocente will meet Shane del Rosario at heavyweight. Both fights were recently confirmed by the promotion.
Voelker (24-10), a former Strikeforce fighter, is 0-2 in the UFC thus far. He lost a close decision to Patrick Cote at UFC 158, and was knocked out by Robbie Lawler as a late replacement at UFC on Fox 8 in July. He badly needs a win to keep his job in the promotion.
Macario (6-1) made the Finals of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 2, but was submitted by Leo Santos in the second round of their UFC on Fuel 10 bout.
Inocente (6-2), a former Shooto champ, made his Strikeforce debut in May of 2012 and picked up a decision win over Virgil Zwicker. He hasn't competed since then.
Del Rosario (11-2), also a former Strikeforce competitor, is 0-2 in his UFC run so far. He was knocked out by Stipe Miocic last year and by Pat Barry last December.
Both bouts will take place on the preliminary card of the December 28th event in Vegas.
