UFC welterweight Erick Silva is coming off the first knockout loss of his MMA career, and I guess he thinks he needs a good rebound fight. In an uncommon move for the Brazilian fighter, he turned to twitter to call out a highly-ranked fighter. That fighter just happens to be Demian Maia.
E ai @demianmaia o q acha, d voltar as vitórias em cima d um cara ruim de chão e horrível nas defesas de quedas com eu?

Here's the translation, via MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz:
Demian, what do you think of getting back to the wins vs. a guy with a bad ground game and terrible takedown defense like me?
Silva (15-4, 1 NC) is 3-3 in the UFC, most recently getting stopped by Dong Hyun Kim in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 29 last month. Maia (18-5) lost a split decision to Jake Shields in the main event of that card. It was his first loss at welterweight after three straight wins.
The fight might not make sense from a rankings standpoint, but it'd certainly be interesting.
