Lyoto Machida is making his Middleweight debut 10 days earlier than planned. Machida, who was coming off a controversial loss to Phil Davis, was supposed to fight Tim Kennedy in the main event of UFC Fight Night 31 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Michael Bisping's eye injury caused Machida to step in against Mark Munoz, and now Kennedy is facing Rafael Natal instead. Machida/Munoz will remain a five round fight, and it should be a great way to see what Machida can do against a dangerous top 10 middleweight.
Co-headlining this Manchester, England show is TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson against Melvin Guillard. Hard-hitting light heavyweight Jimi Manuwa returns against Ryan Jimmo, while John Lineker meets Phil Harris in a flyweight clash.
Yesterday, we told you that Jimy Hettes needed a replacement opponent for Mike Wilkinson, and the UFC provided him with one. Scotland's Robert Whiteford (10-1) has been tabbed to fight Hettes on the night's prelims.
Please note that with college football airing on Fox Sports 1, the main card will air on Fox Sports 2, with prelims still airing online as is the standard:
