UFC President Dana White openly discussed the possibility of Chael Sonnen getting a title shot if he beats Forrest Griffin at UFC 155 on December 29th.

"He's going to call out Jones, there's no doubt. He's very good at ... everybody talks about him talking his way into fights, but you know that guy's going to show up to win," White said at the UFC 152 post-fight press conference.

"I can tell you right now I think they both want that fight. I just think there's other fights that make sense.

"People do want to see (Jones vs. Sonnen). I don't know. Who knows? People do want to see it. If enough people do want to see it, I guess I'd have to make it."

White would prefer to book Jones against the winner of an as-yet-unannounced fight between Dan Henderson and Lyoto Machida. Henderson was to have faced Jones at the ill-fated UFC 151 event but suffered a minor tear of his MCL and had to bow out. The next title shot was Machida's but he turned down the opportunity to fight Jones last night, citing short notice.

Sonnen, famously, was ready to fight Jones on 8 days notice at UFC 151 but Jones declined the fight on the advice of trainer Greg Jackson.
