Asian MMA: Leandro Issa Set To Rematch Soo Chul Kim For Inaugural ONE FC Bantamweight Title

ONE FC 6 will have their first three titles on the line this October, and as reported earlier, Leandro Issa (10-2), who is coming off a dominant victory over Masakazu Imanari, will be competing for their inaugural bantamweight title.

On Friday night, a source close to the promotion has informed BloodyElbow.com about his opponent, and it will be Soo Chul Kim (6-4), a young Korean prospect who recently defeated URCC Champion, Kevin Belingon at ONE FC 5. Kim has faced Issa before during ONE FC 1, losing to the BJJ Champion from Evolve MMA by decision.

Also news on their burgeoning division, the promotion also plans to host a bantamweight tournament with Belingon and Jens Pulver already lined up to be participating in the Grand Prix.

ONE FC 6 will also host championship bouts for their lightweight and featherweight divisions. Eric Kelly and Eduard Folayang have both been promised the next title shots, but they will have to cash in on that on a different ONE FC card. The two Filipino MMA stars are currently scheduled for URCC 22, which would celebrate the 10th year anniversary for the Philippines' top MMA promotion.
