Could the news get any worse for UFC 153? Just a few hours ago, UFC president Dana White tweeted that co-main eventer Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was out of his bout with Glover Teixeira due to an injury. Now, it's the final dagger in the back - UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo is out of his title bout with Frankie Edgar due to a foot injury. Dana's tweet:
Now Aldo is out with foot injury. Main and co main in the same day!! Another amazing day at the UFC. We have some work to do

Edgar had just stepped up as a replacement for Aldo's original opponent Erik Koch last week, and now Aldo's out. As of this very second, the main event of UFC 153 is Jon Fitch vs. Erick Silva. Yeah, I know. Obviously that's not what is going to happen, and Teixeira can't fight Edgar, so they're going to have to do some major restructuring just five weeks short of what looked like one of the better cards of the year. Ouch.
UPDATE - Another tweet from Dana:
@guyseep @arielhelwani aldo got hit by a f*cking car!!!! Too many shows

I guess that motorcycle accident wasn't as minor as we thought.
