Donald Cerrone is known for a few different things - excellent skills in the cage, being a daredevil outside it, and being very, very quotable. It seems like every Cerrone interview has one or two tidbits of gold in it, and his interview with Lowkick was no different. Cerrone is facing off with Melvin Guillard in the co-main event of UFC 150 in Denver, but he had something to say about a different guy this time around. Namely, former WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis:
My training is going perfect. I stay ready so I can fight on any notice. This camp I trained in this time was at 9,000 feet because it has more altitude than Denver. Denver will feel easy compared to the hell I am going through now. It's in my blood. I don't back down from anybody and that naturally leads to entertaining fights. Anthony Pettis' b*tch ass! Anthony, quit hiding behind your sore shoulder and come to the dance."
I'm not sure where that came from, but it's still amusing. Pettis recently underwent shoulder surgery and is out until at October. A bout between the two men had been rumored before, and would be fireworks if it did indeed happen. I don't think it's a stretch to say that the winner of Guillard vs. Cerrone could very well be meeting Pettis late in the year. And that sounds awesome to me.
