Roughly a day after word came out that the UFC has signed an Asian prospect in Hyun Gyu Lim, Brazilian website sportv have confirmed his opponent. According to the report, the PXC welterweight champion and Korean Top Team product will be fighting in Zuffa's first trip to Macau this November, and he will be making his UFC debut against Marcelo Guimaraes
Highly touted by his teammates in Chan Sung Jung and Dongi Yang, and with a lengthy 6'2 frame at welterweight, Hyun's UFC debut has been highly anticipated since news broke of his signing. He won't be having a walk in the park when he eventually steps into the Octagon though.
While coming off a lackluster decision win during his debut at UFC on FUEL TV 4, Guimaraes has also been one of the most intriguing prospects prior to his signing, and was even named as the #2 Ranked Middleweight in the 2012 World MMA Scouting Report. With his first cut to welterweight and the jitters of making his UFC debut out of the way, he will be looking to impress the crowd and continue his unbeaten streak to 10 fights.
