Opening up the Strikeforce: Rousey Vs. Kaufman card, Ovince St. Preux finished a hard fight in the first minute of the final round. The fight looked to end early after a heavy punch and flurry by St. Preux, but T.J. Cook was able to recover and back him off. Ten minutes later, OSP was able to finish the job when he threw a big left hook from his power hand and dropped Cook with a single punch.

Cook takes the center of the Hexagon early. After some tentative exchange in the first round, St. Preux lands a big punch that dropped Cook. OSP did his best to finish the fight, but T.J. was able to recover and get back to his feet. Second round starts off slow, but St. Preux trying heavy kicks from distance. St. Preux lands an accidental low blow and Cook is given time to recover. After a double leg, OSP gains dominant position and transitions to mount. Third round opens with St. Preux keeping distance with straight punches and he finishes the fight with a left hook.
Both St. Preux and Cook met in the hexagon trying to bounce back from a loss. St. Preux lost a one sided decision to Gegard Mousasi at Strikeforce: Melendez Vs Masvidal back in December. Cook was submitted by Trevor Smith at Strikeforce: Challengers 20 in November.
