Shortly after Nebraska-based Resurrection Fighting Alliance announced that Ed Soares would be their President, they've signed yet another former UFC fighter. Lightweight John Gunderson becomes the latest addition to their very respectable stable. Pro Wrestling Insider XTRA has the story:

Resurrection Fighting Alliance officials announced that UFC veteran John Gunderson has signed a three fight deal with the promotion.

Gunderson is expected to make his promotional debut at the October RFA event, but no other details have been announced.

The Xtreme Couture fighter went 1-2 in his UFC stint, losing to Rafaello Oliveira in his debut, dominating Mark Holst at the TUF 11 Finale, and then was released after a decision defeat to Yves Edwards. Gunderson has gone 4-2 since his UFC release, and has finished two former UFC fighters in the process with submissions over Justin Buchholz and Karo Parisyan (at welterweight).

RFA have done an impressive job of mixing in top prospects such as Bubba Jenkins and Sergio Pettis with proven veterans such as Tyson Griffin, Joe Stevenson, Gilbert Yvel, and now John Gunderson on their roster. They will make their Las Vegas debut in October, which will coincide with the promotional debuts of Pettis and Gunderson.
