Donald Cerrone defeated Melvin Guillard by knockout (punch) at 1:16 of round one
Donald Cerrone and Melvin Guillard came to war, and they sure did for 76 seconds. Guillard tagged Cerrone early and had him in major trouble, but Cowboy got his head straight and came back with a beautiful finishing sequence to knock Guillard unconscious just a few seconds later.
Guillard caught Cerrone with a monster counter that hurt Cerrone right away. Guillard swarmed him with strikes but Cerrone was able to evade them and shake out the cobwebs. Cerrone landed a huge headkick that had Guillard out on his feet. Cerrone charged in with a huge right that put Melvin right out.
It was Cerrone's second win in a row, and he'll likely be staring across the cage at Anthony Pettis the next time he fights. Guillard has dropped three of his last four.
