UFC 150 Results: Max Holloway Stops Justin Lawrence Late In The Second Round

Max Holloway defeated Justin Lawrence by TKO (strikes) at 4:49 of round two

Max Holloway and Justin Lawrence came to strike, and they didn't disappoint. Both men landed some solid shots but it was Holloway that dropped Lawrence with a vicious shot to the body in the second round, and it was quickly over after that. The 20-year-old Hawaiian fighter picked up his second win in a row in the UFC with the TKO stoppage.

Lawrence came out with some unique kicks and landed a nice overhand right. Holloway landed a nice leg kick that was almost caught. Holloway worked his counters nicely, catching Lawrence coming in a couple of times. Lawrence got kicked low and took some time to recover. Lawrence was cut open over his eye. Lawrence landed a nice shot to the body and the fighters traded a variety of shots over the rest of the round. Lawrence got caught low again late.

Lawrence went to a kick-heavy game for the start of round two, but ate a head kick from Holloway. Lawrence landed a nice spinning elbow. Holloway was ducking Lawrence's right and countering well. Max stuffed a Lawrence shot. Lawrence switched to the left and found more success, but still couldn't get the fight to the floor. Holloway hurt Lawrence with a body/liver shot and swarmed him on the floor until referee Josh Rosenthal was forced to step in.
