As part of its coverage of the combat sports of the 2012 Olympics, Bloody Elbow will be bringing you live results during every day of wrestling competition.
Wrestling will start each day at 8:00 AM est, medal finals will take place at 12:45.
Wrestling's three disciplines will be contested over the next week. Greco will come first, then women's, and finally, the main event, men's freestyle will be held starting on next Friday.
Today, the second day of men's freestyle competition, brings us the 60kg, 84kg, and 120kg weight classes.

84kg: Jake Herbert, Northwestern University-4 time NCAA All-American, 3 time NCAA finalist, 2 time NCAA National Champion, World Silver Medalist in the Freestyle Wrestling World Championships in 2009
120kg: Tervel Dlagnev, University of Nebraska Kearney (The Lopers, yes, them. I don't recall Tervel's freshman year results in college so he might be a 4 or 3 time All-American)- 3 time NCAA finalist, 2 time NCAA Champ, Bronze Medal in the 2009 Freestyle Wrestling World Championships, Fifth in the World last year, Gold Medal in the 2012 World Cup.

Period 2: GEO with the td, secures a leglace and steps up with it, earning exposure, but looking for the pin, seems to expose several times but only gets credit for one, GEO up 3-0. BLR answers with a TD to close the gap to 3-1 GEO. Not enough GEO wins

Period 1: TUR in on high c, Gets sprawled out, stalemate. Iran with a TD, didn't see what he did. 1-0 Iran. Iran in on his own high c (Iran loves these. 2-0 Iran. Turkey hits a wld throw from double overs. Gets awarded a takedown and that's it, but wait, he gets another TD, tied 2-2. Iran wins the period by scoring on an inside step single leading with the outside arm.
Period 2: iran scores a quick pushout followed by a shot finished with a double, then another doubled off shot, up 3-0. Start warming up the bus for Turkey. Great tournament for Lashgari

Period 1: Tervel in on an ankle, stays on his knees, gets rolled through. IRAN is in on another shot, Tervel attempts a throw, they give 2 to Iran and no points to USA. I don't understand. Iran wins the period 4-0
Period 2: Goes to a ball draw, Tervel gets his ball pulled, THNK GOD. Tervel cracks him down to win the period
Period 3: Tervel trying the same thing over and over, not getting it, gets out of position, gets pushed out, blows his shot at a medal

Period 1: Makhov is wrecking stuff, wins 5-0
Period 2: Makhov has one of his mental lapses, gives up a TD, On the edge, Makhov is attempting a pushout with a bear hug, gets thrown from over unders. KAZ up 2-0. Kaz gets another pushout. Wins period 3-0
