Dan Hardy defeated Duane Ludwig by Knockout at 3:51 of the first round.
Dan Hardy finally got back into the win column tonight at UFC 146 with an excellent knockout of talented striker Duane Ludwig. After some solid exchanges over the first half of the round, Hardy cracked Ludwig with his favorite weapon, the left hook, and Ludwig collapsed to the mat. Hardy briefly celebrated, but went in and followed up with four deadly elbows that opened up a nasty gash and put "Bang" to sleep at the 3:51 mark.
After a long feeling out session, Bang missed with a head kick. Ludwig landed a nice inside shot and a couple of knees, and Hardy looked for the takedown. Hardy worked against the cage with the fighters exchanging knees. Hardy exited with a nice combo. Hardy landed a left hook but Ludwig responded with two knees to the body. Back in the middle, Hardy landed his lead left hook dead on the chin, then blasted him on the ground with four straight elbows to the side of the head. Ludwig was out and the referee jumped in
Hardy picked up his first win in over two and a half years, and Ludwig dropped his second bout in a row.
