Strikeforce will kick off their biggest event of the year so far in just over a week. The long-running Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix will finally be decided when Josh Barnett faces off with Daniel Cormier in the finals. The winner will apparently fight once more against a "big-name opponent" in Strikeforce, then move over to the UFC. In addition to that, Gilbert Melendez will be defending his Strikeforce lightweight belt against Josh Thomson in the third meeting between the two, and Rafael Cavalcante will face off in a hard-hitting battle with Mike Kyle. I have zero idea why Burrell vs. Spang is on the main card over some of the undercard choices, but I'm sure Mr. Coker has his reasons. Here's the current card:

May 19th, live on Showtime (from San Jose, CA):

Main Card:

Josh Barnett (31-5) vs. Daniel Cormier(9-0) [HWGP Final]

Gilbert Melendez (20-2) vs. Josh Thomson (19-4, 1 NC) [LW Title]

Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante (11-3) vs. Mike Kyle (19-8-1, 1 NC)

Nah-Shon Burrell (8-1) vs. Chris Spang (4-1)
