Fresh off a submission win over Chad Griggs at UFC 154, Cyrille Diabate will take his next fight a lot closer to home. The UFC has announced that the French striker will be fighting in England on February 16th at UFC on Fuel 7, and he'll be meeting undefeated British striker Jimi Manuwa in what's expected to be a light heavyweight war.
Diabate (19-8-1) is 4-2 in the UFC, and has picked up two wins in a row. This will be the third time he has competed in the UK under the UFC banner. Manuwa (12-0) beat the tar out of Kyle Kingsbury in his UFC debut at UFC on Fuel 5 in September, and picked up a TKO victory when the doctor deemed Kingsbury unfit to continue at the end of the second round.
The card features a UFC interim bantamweight title bout in the main event, with Renan Barao defending against Michael McDonald. Here's the rest of the current card:
Renan Barao vs. Michael McDonald [BW title]
Che Mills vs. Matt Riddle
Danny Castillo vs. Paul Sass
Terry Etim vs. Renee Forte
Vaughan Lee vs. Motonobu Tezuka
Josh Grispi vs. Andy Ogle
Ulysses Gomez vs. Phil Harris
