UFC On Fox 5 weigh-in photos

Take a look at the weigh-in and staredown pics from the UFC On Fox 5 weigh-ins.

Friday evening all the fighters for UFC on Fox 5: Henderson vs. Diaz hit the scales to weigh in for their fights on Saturday night. Tim Means wanted to join them KO'd himself with a slip in the sauna. So instead of Means, his scheduled opponent Abel Trujillo will fight Marcus LeVesseur who was supposed to fight Michael Chiesa.

The weigh-ins looked like they'd go off without a hitch until Henry Martinez tipped the scales at 158.8 lbs. That put him almost 3 lbs over the Lightweight limit. Martinez chose not to attempt to make the weight and gives up 20% of his purse to Daron Cruickshank. Shortly after.

A few minutes later and Raphael Assuncao also failed to make weight coming in at 136.4. Assuncao decided he'd rather keep the entirety of his purse and made weight on his second attempt.

Things seem to smooth out after that with the rest of the preliminary card and the main card hitting weighing in with no problem. Then Lightweight challenger Nate Diaz hit the scale at 156.6 pounds. Diaz looked confused as UFC president Dana White explained that there's no 1 lb. grace for title fights. I'm not sure how Diaz didn't know that, but he was able to hit the 155 lb. limit about an hour later on his 3rd attempt.

UFC On Fox 5 is coming up tomorrow night on December 8. The event takes place at the Key Arena in Seattle, WA.
