Nobody can stay healthy. Add Hacran Dias to the injury list as his preliminary card fight against Chad Mendes at UFC on FX 6 has been scrapped. MMA Junkie has the story:
Nova Uniao fighter Hacran Dias (21-1-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has been forced out of next week's UFC on FX 6 event.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned from sources close to the fighter that Dias suffered an undisclosed injury in training and has been forced to withdraw from his planned appearance.
That means FX 6, which is Friday, December 14th (Saturday the 15th in Australia due to time-zone difference) only has 9 fights.
I doubt they can find an opponent for Mendes in time. What would make the most sense to me is push him back to UFC 155 to buy time and find a credible opponent instead of having another squash match like the Cody McKenzie fight.
