UFC Heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos has long been a vocal critic of those fighters who choose to use performance enhancing drugs. He continued to speak out at yesterday's UFC 155 media call. Transcription via MMA Fighting:
"I prefer to fight against clean athletes and real professionals. Cain is one of these guys. He's a real professional fighter and that's a good challenge for me. I know he's very tough and I know how hard I have to train to face him. The other guys, they just say things but there's nothing behind the words. Guys like me and Cain Velasquez, we are made at the gym. And guys like the other guy, they are made at the laboratory."
Overeem had been set to challenge JDS for the UFC title back in May of this year when he infamously failed a pre-fight urine test with elevated testosterone levels. JDS fought Frank Mir instead and Overeem has been unable to apply for a license to fight in Nevada ever since. He is eligible to reapply next week and is expected to be the next title challenger for the winner of JDS vs. Velasquez.
