As the headliner for the TUF 16 Finale, Roy Nelson stepped off from coaching duties and took on Matt Mitrione on a heavyweight battle. Nelson veered away from head huntin with only his overhand right, and was able to mix it up and throw a nice combination that stopped Mitrione early.

Here's a detailed account on how the entire fight went from our live blog of the event:
Round 1 - Nelson was missing badly early, while Mitrione stayed on the outside. Mitrione threw two head kicks. Nelson clinched up and looked for a takedown. Mitrione reversed against the cage and landed a knee. Nice elbow on the break. Another hard body kick. The two men threw down for a bit, with both landing. Nelson landed the big right, but Mitrione took it. He didn't take the next one though! An uppercut, and a left put Mitrione down! Nelson bombed away and Herb Dean had to stop it.
