Jake Ellenberger vs Johny Hendricks, Patrick Cote vs. Alessio Sakara set for UFC 158

Two more fights added to UFC 158 in March which will be headlined by GSP vs. Diaz

Joe Camporeale-US PRESSWIRE

Saturday night's The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale delivered with incredibly exciting fights as well exciting news. In the second fight of the main card, Pat Barry dropped Shane Del Rosario with incredibly powerful hooks early in the second round. Immediately following that fight, the UFC confirmed three exciting fights for UFC 158.

As was confirmed earlier this week, Georges St. Pierre will be defending his Welterweight championship against Nick Diaz in the main event.

That was expected, but the likely contenders fight between Jake Ellenberger and Johny Hendricks was not. When rumors of GSP potentially fighting Diaz first began to surface, Hendricks said he would refuse to fight again until he got a shot at the belt. It looks like UFC president Dana White was able to convince him to change his mind.

Also, Alessio Sakara will get a chance to redeem himself against Patrick Cote. The two first met at UFC 154, but Sakara was disqualified after landing a series of shots to the back of Cote's head.

UFC 158 will take place on March 16 in the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.
