For the hard-cores, Friday evening typically has Bellator written all over it. However, that schedule was disrupted due to an abnormal UFC schedule that dumped back-to-back events on us this week -- which, in reality, is a nice problem to have. This Bellator entry was significant too: it marked the promotion's bon voyage to MTV2, as all future shows will make the jump over to Spike TV.

This particular slice of the internet pie contains the complete Bellator 84 results supplemented by a plentiful serving of Zombie Prophet's gifs, the promotion's official highlight video of the pertinent action as well as (embedded above) a free video replay of the entire event.

Before we dive into the guts of the beast, there was another unfortunate mishap with a featured match-up. Last week, the finals of the Featherweight Tournament were nixed when New Jersey State Athletic Control Board did not clear finalist Shabulat Shamhalaev, who was expected to face Rad Martinez but suffered spells of vomiting. Last night, the Lightweight Tournament final was scratched at the last minute by the Indiana Gaming Commission because 20-year-old Polish competitor Marcin Held did not meet the casino's 21-year-old age requirement. Stay tuned for a follow up piece on that ordeal in the coming days.
