There's nothing like starting off December the same way the other 11 months have been dominated -- an injury affecting a UFC card. This isn't a major one but it's still an injury. Middleweight Thiago Bodao, scheduled to fight in Sao Paulo, Brazil against Michael Kuiper, is injured and out of the fight. Replacing him is Caio Magalhaes according to Gracie Magazine on Twitter.

Magalhaes (5-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) lost his UFC debut against Buddy Roberts by unanimous decision at UFC on FX 3. Caio was unable to takedown Roberts most of the fight (2 of 15) and was outstruck in the process. As the tweet mentions, he is a BJJ black belt and won his pro MMA debut by omoplata.
Kuiper (12-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) won his last fight, a TKO win over Jared Hamman at UFC 150, to offset his debut loss to Rafael Natal at UFC 143. He packs a good punch, having won his last 4 fights by KO/TKO (punches). This will be a battle of young prospects, as Caio is 24 and Kuiper is even younger at 23.
UFC on FX 7 is headlined by a middleweight contender showdown between Michael Bisping and Vitor Belfort. It is expected that Magalhaes vs. Kuiper will air on the preliminary card.
