John Maguire steps in for Besam Yousef, faces Matt Riddle at UFC 154

The merry go-round of welterweight fighters continues on the undercard of UFC 154. A few days ago, Stephen Thompson was set to face Besam Yousef. Thompson then got hurt and was replaced by Matt Riddle. Now it seems that Yousef is out as well, and will be replaced by British fighter John Maguire. Sherdog passed on the news, which was confirmed by UFC officials.

Maguire (18-4) made his UFC debut back at UFC 138, defeating Justin Edwards by decision. His next bout was against DaMarques Johnson at UFC on Fuel 2, where he sunk in a neat armbar to pick up his second straight win. He suffered a setback in his most recent matchup though, losing a lackluster decision to John Hathaway at UFC on Fuel 5 last month.

The bout will still take place on the Facebook portion of the preliminary card. UFC 154 is headlined by a welterweight title unification bout between Georges St. Pierre and Carlos Condit.
