Mike Easton has a new opponent at UFC on Fox 5 after T.J. Dillashaw got hurt. Dillashaw, an Ultimate Fighter 14 finalist, has been replaced by another TUF 14 alum. MMA Junkie has the news:
An injury has sidelined T.J. Dillashaw (6-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC), forcing him out of the next UFC on FOX event.
But a Washington native has stepped up to fill the gap at UFC on FOX 5 in Seattle. Bryan Caraway (17-5 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will fill in for Dillashaw against Mike Easton (13-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC), UFC officials on Tuesday announced.
Caraway made it to the semi-finals of TUF 14 before being knocked out by Diego Brandao. He has picked up submission wins over Dustin Neace and Mitch Gagnon in his two UFC bouts since then. Easton has won all three of his UFC bouts thus far, defeating Byron Bloodworth (TKO), Jared Papazian (decision) and most recently Ivan Menjivar (decision). He is currently on an eight-fight winning streak.
The bout will take place on the preliminary portion of the December 8th event, which is headlined by a UFC lightweight title fight between Ben Henderson and Nate Diaz.
