Ryan Bader: Chris Weidman lost house to Hurricane Sandy

Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

It appears that UFC middleweight Chris Weidman has some serious stuff to worry about right now that has nothing to do with fighting. Weidman, who lives near Baldwin Harbor, NY, has apparently lost his home to Hurricane Sandy. Ryan Bader tweeted about it earlier:

Thoughts go out to @chrisweidmanufc & his family. Lost his home in the storm on the east coast. Please show him your support. @magllc @ufc

— Ryan Bader (@ryanbader) October 30, 2012

Weidman stated on his Facebook account yesterday that his wife and kids were out of harm's way, but he was sticking around to "keep some updates going for fun". One showed him chainsawing down a tree that had fallen on his house, saying that the worst was yet to come. Another just said "survival lol" with a picture of what looks like beans and ramen. He hasn't updated his Facebook or twitter since last night.

Dave Martin of Martin Advisory Group, who manages both Bader and Weidman, told MMA Fighting that Weidman's house was hit "pretty bad" and he had spoken briefly to him this morning, but the conversation was cut short.

MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani was able to contact Chris and sent out this Tweet:
