Despite the lack of major MMA events in recent weeks, there is no shortage of hot topics to discuss, so MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani rounded up his gang for another solid edition of The MMA Beat, the weekly video podcast that is patterned after ESPN's The Sports Reporters.
On the fifth edition, Helwani was joined by fellow MMA Fighting scribes Mike Chiappetta and Luke Thomas, as well as Sherdog Radio's Jack Encarnacao. The 35-minute video featured the fearsome foursome talking about Dana White's recent admission that women will indeed fight in the UFC someday, the recent death of Jeff Blatnick and how realistic a non-UFC Hall of Fame could be and the news that Alistair Overeem will get a title shot when he becomes eligible to fight and what that could mean for Nick Diaz.
