Welterweight David Mitchell hasn't stepped into the cage since UFC 134, but he has stepped up on short notice to meet Huyn Gym Lim at UFC on Fuel 6 on November 10th in Macau. Gyu's original opponent Marcelo Guimaraes was forced out of the bout with an injury. Sherdog has the info:
Welterweights David Mitchell and Hyun Gyu Lim will square off at UFC on Fuel TV 6, completing the event's 10-fight bill.
Lim was initially expected to face unbeaten Marcelo Guimaraes at the event before Guimares was forced to withdraw due to injury.
Mitchell (11-2) debuted in the UFC back at UFC Fight Night 22 when he met T.J. Waldburger, but he dropped a decision. After almost a year out of the cage, he returned at the aforementioned UFC 134, where he was decisioned by Paulo Thiago. The California native will be looking for his first UFC win here, and could be unemployed if he can't pull it off. Lim (10-3-1), a teammate of Dong Hyun Kim, is making his UFC debut.
The bout will take place on the preliminary portion of the card.
