It looks like a pair of heavyweight strikers are going to be facing off in Vegas on December 15th at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale. And both men are trying to rebound from a loss. Here's what MMA Junkie had to say:
Pat Barry (7-5 MMA, 4-5 UFC) and Shane Del Rosario (11-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) are targeted for a meeting in December. Sources with knowledge of the fight booking on Tuesday confirmed the matchup to MMA Junkie.
Barry's tenure in the UFC has seen its highs and lows. The New Orleans-bred striker and K-1 vet is just 1-3 in his last four, most recently getting knocked out by Lavar Johnson at UFC on Fox 3 in May. Del Rosario was a Strikeforce veteran brought over when their division was shut, and lost his UFC debut to Stipe Miocic by TKO at UFC 146.
It's unclear if the bout will be on the main card or not, but I'd suspect that it's on the preliminary portion of the event.
