Bantamweight has been fairly quiet since Renan Barao assumed the role of interim UFC champion this past July, but a fairly important matchup in this division has been set for December. TUF 14 runner-up T.J. Dillashaw battles Mike Easton at UFC on FOX 5 in Seattle, Washington. MMA Opinion has the news via Twitter:
A lot of fights getting announced it seems:T.J. Dillashaw vs. Mike Easton verbally agreed to for UFC on FOX 5

Dillashaw (6-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) was knocked out by John Dodson in the TUF 14 bantamweight final, but has rebounded with some dominant victories over Walel Watson and Vaughan Lee. He is one of many lighter weight class fighters who trains at Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, CA.
Easton (13-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) is probably more famous for "beating" Chase Beebe a few years ago in Virginia, but his time in the UFC has been a successful one. He joined the promotion in 2011, knocking out Byron Bloodworth, and followed that up with 2 decision wins this year over Jared Papazian and Ivan Menjivar.
It's a bit unfortunate that this fight is wasted on FUEL TV prelims, as this could bring either man legitimately a step closer to a title shot, but nevertheless UFC on FOX 5 just keeps getting better and better from top-to-bottom.
