Looks like the UFC has found a replacement for Mike Swick, who unfortunately got injured and will have to once again delay his return to the octagon. Former Bloody Elbow mainstay, Chris Nelson reports that the Ultimate Fighting Championship has signed Shooto champ, Luis 'Beicao' Ramos (19-6) to step in and face Erick Silva on two weeks notice:

While not officially announced by the promotion, Nova Uniao leader Andre Pederneiras confirmed Monday to Sherdog.com that his fighter has entered the UFC welterweight ranks. Word of Ramos’ signing was first reported by Brazilian website Tatame.com.

...An MMA veteran of nearly a decade, the 30-year-old Beicao has lost only one of his last seven starts, a contentious unanimous decision defeat to UFC vet Roan "Jucao" Carneiro last October. Since then, Ramos has won three in a row, most recently capturing the Watch Out Combat Show welterweight title with a July 23 throttling of Dimitri Burgos.

Reports also suggest that before settling with 'Beicao', mammoth lightweight, Gleison Tibau also offered to step in and face Silva at welterweight.
