UFC on Fox: Erik Shanks - Gus Johnson Likely to Be Involved on Fox Shows

For better or for worse, you're all likely to be seeing more of this face on UFC pre and post-fight shows on FOX.

The UFC is headed to Fox, and announced that they will be hosting several shows on the network. Zuffa will still be in charge with most of the production, but with Fox hosting both pre-fight and post-fight shows to these events, people have been wondering which of the guys from the network will be tasked for hosting these.

Karyn Bryant of MMA HEAT got the answer from FOX Co-COO, Eric Shanks. He says while things aren't final yet, they're already interested in putting in former Showtime sportscaster, Gus Johnson:

Pre, and Post-fight, we will have big desks set up with probably more Fox talent. Jay (Glazer)... and Gus Johnson, who is now a huge fight fan, and does a lot of MMA.

So Gus' schedule permitting, and having conversations with him as to when he would be available, I think we would love to have both those guys on.

Gus Johnson became a controversial figure for MMA fans during his time with CBS and Showtime, was released by CBS back in May but retained for his Showtime combat sports duties. He will be calling college football and NFL games for Fox Sports starting with the upcoming season.
