BAMMA middleweight champion Tom Watson won't be defending his title next month after all. Watson, who is the face of the organization, has been forced out of the title defence against Frank Trigg at BAMMA 7 on September 10th due to an injury. He will be replaced in the headliner by Bellator veteran "Judo" Jim Wallhead. MMA Junkie reports that Watson suffered a back injury in training, but the extent of the injury is unknown at this time.

Wallhead (21-6) had won eight fights in a row before he met Rick Hawn in the quarter-finals of Bellator's season 4 welterweight tournament in March. He dropped a unanimous decision to Hawn and hasn't been used by Bellator since.  Here is the current card as it stands right now:

Jim Wallhead (21-6) vs. Frank Trigg (24-8)
Rob Sinclair (10-2) vs. Leonardo Santos (9-3) for BAMMA LW title
Efrain Escudero (15-3) vs. Tim Radcliffe (11-4)
Matt Ewin (22-9-1) vs. Valentino Petrescu (11-2)
