Ed Herman caught Tim Credeur with a brutal uppercut that dropped him and followed up with enough ground and pound to force a quick stoppage to their Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale.  The fight lasted a mere 0:46 seconds.

Herman made an emphatic statement that he is back in a fairly moribund middleweight division after a year long layoff.

Herman came into the fight after a long knee-injury induced lay off. Previous to that he lost three of four against some of the middleweight division's best including Demian Maia and Alan Belcher. He was a competitor on season three of The Ultimate Fighter

Credeur was a veteran of season seven of The Ultimate Fighter and went 3-1 in the UFC before a brain condition necessitated a 2 year layoff.

It will be interesting to see where Herman goes from here. Credeur might want to take another hiatus.

The fight was on the same card at Anthony Pettis vs Clay Guida as well as the Ultimate Fighter 13 Finals with Anthony Ferguson and Ramsey Nijem
