Tom Lawlor had originally been scheduled to face Maiquel Falcao at UFC 134, but Falcao's Zuffa release and subsequent signing with a small Alberta promotion put a damper on that. Lawlor will be moving to a new card though, and will get a tough replacement opponent. TUF 11 cast member Kyle Noke, currently 3-0 under the UFC banner, will step up to face Lawlor on August 14th in Milwaukee. MMAWeekly has it:
Facing Lawlor at the UFC on Versus 5 card will be fellow ‘Ultimate Fighter’ alum Kyle Noke (19-4-1) who has looked outstanding in his 3 fights since the reality show.
Noke has finished all three fights defeating Josh Bryant, Rob Kimmons and most recently Chris Camozzi at UFC 127 in his native Australia.
Noke and Lawlor meet on the August 14 card for the UFC’s first ever trip to the state of Wisconsin.
Lawlor (7-3) was able to keep his spot in the company with a huge decision win over former middleweight title challenger Patrick Cote back in October at UFC 121. He is also a former TUF guy as well, participating in the reality show's 8th season. Noke is coming off winning a $75,000 submission of the night bonus with his 95 second choke victory over Chris Camozzi at UFC 127. Should be good.
