Heading into UFC 131, the UFC's second event held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, local officials asked the UFC to pay for extra police personnel around the Rogers Arena. UFC officials declined and the event went off without a hint of trouble.
The same can't be said for the NHL's Stanley Cup after rioting broke out in Vancouver following the seventh game loss by the Vancouver Canucks to the Boston Bruins.
UFC President Dana White took to twitter to comment (note, tweets have been edited to removed profanity and references to other twitter accounts):
