As always we have our one rule: NO SPOILERS! In the interest of not ruining anything from the undercard that may make the broadcast we ask that you do not discuss the results of the undercard in the comments until either the broadcast ends or the fight makes the air.
The broadcast is live, first fight up shortly.
Pat Healy vs. Josh Thomson - Round 1 - Thomson shoots in and almost gets the double but Healy is able to sprawl out well. Healy clinching with him against the cage. Thomson uses his forearm to push down Healy as he goes for a takedown, briefly takes the back and transitions to an armbar. Healy manages to escape but Thomson slides right into a triangle choke and now transitioning back to an armbar. Healy manages to escape yet again. Thomson uses the cage to get back to his feet and Healy with a nice throw as he had his back standing. Healy gets his hooks in. Thomson escapes and almost has a heel hook but Healy goes back to standing. Tries for a single and Thomson escapes. They go back to the ground with Healy and the round ends. 10-9 Thomson on the submission attempts. I worry that the judges will give it to Healy on takedowns even though it was Thomson that was at the advantage on the ground. Round 2- They're striking early and Healy with a double leg. Thomson tries to stand up and Healy tries to take his back. Healy gets both hooks in now. Healy riding the back and not really throwing much. Now Thomson turns over and secures half guard. Healy with an elbow which is illegal. Now some good shots from the top from Healy and Thomson escapes. As Healy gets a takedown Thomson almost locks up a triangle. Now Thomson locks up an armbar. It was deep but Healy escaped. Round ends and Healy evens it up with a 10-9 round. Round 3 - Both men landing right hands early. Thomson landing a little bit now. Nice jab from Thomson. Left hook lands for Josh. Front kick from Thomson makes Healy push in for a takedown but Thomson avoids. Healy is slow and tired now. Body shot from Healy. Right hand from Thomson and a jab. Nice hook from Healy. Healy has been unable to get the takedown this round, and as i type that he gets the double. Thomson gives up his back to stand up and flips Pat off. Now Thomson is on top in north south. Thomson taking Healy's back now. Thomson locks in a body triangle Now he sinks in the rear naked choke and Healy says he is fine. Healy is still defending but the body triangle with the choke finally makes him tap out. Very good fight. Josh Thomson wins by submission (rear naked choke), round 3.
Jan Finney vs. Cris "Cyborg" Santos - Round 1 - Finney lands a punch and then gets swarmed by Cyborg. Cyborg landing some knees to the thigh in the clinch and now they're back to space and Cyborg is nailing her and now lands a huge knee. Finney is tough! Cyborg landing huge shots and Finney goes down and is grabbing a leg. Cyborg pushes her down and is trying to land big punches. She lets Finney back up and Cyborg drops her again and starts kneeing the body. Huge ground and pound and now Santos is landing punches to the back of the head after several warnings and has a point taken away. Finney is trying to throw with her now and is just getting drilled. She keeps getting hit but she is throwing punches back. Finney tries for a takedown again. Cyborn throwing huge shots to the downed fighter. Finney is really trying to grab a leg and Cyborg is just blasting her. The round ends and it's the first time I can ever remember scoring a round 9-8, this one for Cyborg. That fight should have been stopped ten times over. Round 2 - Finney lands a right hand early and now Cyborg is just mauling her. This is disgusting. The fight needs to be stopped. This is horrible. Finney almost gets a leg lock and Cyborg makes her stand up. They're throwing and occasionally Finney lands something but she is getting blasted something awful. Finney lands a few shots and Cyborg starts teeing off again. Now a knee puts her down and Cyborg keeps drilling her. Finally the fight is stopped. Cris "Cyborg" Santos wins by TKO (Strikes), round 2.
Cung Le vs. Scott Smith - Round 1 - Smith charge in and he's trying to put it on Cung early. Nice right hand by Smith. Right hand from the clinch by Smith. Smith landing big body shots now. Smith is using pressure to keep Le from kicking here. Le missing with his punches a bit. Nice three punch combo lands for Le now. Leg kick from Le. Smith misses with a hook and a head kick. Nice two punches from Le and Smith shoots. Le sprawls nicely and is landing some body shots. Knees to the shoulder by Le now. Lee really using his wrestling to stay on top and land body shots. Smith manages to get to his feet now and pins Le to the fence. Smith landing a few punches as he gets out. Nice right hand by Le. Head kick from Le just misses. Le landing big punches now. He's getting things together now. Knee from Le. Lee sprawled out after a shot from Smith and he keeps landing to the body. 10-9 round for Le. Round 2 - Le landing some big punches here and a head kick. Cmith charging in throwing punches and Le picking him apart. Head kick again from Le. Spinning back kick from Le and a body shot and Smith drops. Le on top throwing big punches and going to the head and body. Big knees to the body from Le. Smith stands up. Body kick from Le again and Smith is hurt bad and back on the ground. Le with a few punches and the ref has to jump in. GREAT performance by Le. Wow. Cung Le wins by TKO (body kick, punches), round 2.
Fedor Emelianenko vs. Fabricio Werdum - Round 1 - Werdum misses with a low kick. Fedor drops Werdum in an eschange and Werdum almost catches an arm. Werdum with a triangle that is locked in deep. fedor is in major trouble! FEDOR TAPS! FEDOR TAPS! FABRICIO WERDUM WINS BY SUBMISSION (TRIANGLE CHOKE), ROUND 1!
